Apprenticeships

Portland Stage’s Apprentice Company gives 10-12 early career professionals the opportunity to play an integral role in producing a Portland Stage season.

Volunteers

We use volunteers in many aspects of the theater to help us do what we do, but our Ushers, who help us run performances by greeting patrons, scanning their tickets, seating them, and serving them concessions, are our primary volunteer corps at the theater.

If you are interested in volunteering as an usher, or would like to offer your services as a volunteer in our costume shop, for mailings, for filing, or for other theater-specific needs, please contact our Volunteer Managers. They will be able to help set you up for ushering or direct you to the proper department.

If you have questions that have not been answered, please email us here so we can help direct you to the best answer.
