Meg is a nature-loving stage manager from right here in Maine. She got her B.A. in Theatre from Smith College in western MA, then moved to Philadelphia for her apprenticeship at the Walnut Street Theatre. She worked as a stage manager at various theaters for five years in and around Philly before she and her now-husband, Darren, decided they missed New England too much and moved back!
Meg’s been back in Portland since 2018; she worked as a nanny and as a stage manager at various local theater companies (Good Theater, Dramatic Rep, the Crowbait Club) before she ended up here at Portland Stage in 2021! Now she alternates shows with Myles, and also often works up at Bowdoin College as a stage manager and mentor to the fantastic theater students there. She is incredibly grateful to the team here at Portland Stage for welcoming her with open arms, and is looking forward to a wonderful season making fantastic art!
When she is not stage managing, Meg is an avid reader, and is growing her skills at gardening, foraging, and jigsaw-puzzling. She is also heavily involved with the local Democrats and often goes crazy trying to organize political events. She is a proud member of Actors Equity and mother to two cats and a budgie named Caroll, who is adorable and very sassy.
