Brenda Withers

Brenda Withers is a playwright, actor, and founding member of the Harbor Stage Company where her play The Kritik premiered in the summer of 2016.  Her other plays include Matt & Ben, The Ding Dongs, Northside Hollow, and an all-ages adaptation of Don Quixote commissioned by Amphibian Stage Productions. Onstage she has appeared at places like Actors Theatre of Louisville, PS122, Geva Theatre Center, Hoi Polloi, McCarter Theater, the Folger Shakespeare Theatre, Hartford Stage, and HERE.  Brenda studied drama and religion at Dartmouth College, has enjoyed playwriting residencies with New Georges and the Camargo Foundation, and is thrilled to be developing and premiering String Around My Finger at Portland Stage.
