Every winter season, Portland Stage produces a Holiday Show. In 2020, we are proud to present A Christmas Carol adapted from Charles Dickens. Schools will receive a digital copy of this production.
We also offer optional classroom workshops with professional theater artists before and/or after the show. These can be offered virtually. These workshops enhance student ownership and understanding of the language, story, and characters by using theater techniques to activate their voices, bodies, and imaginations in relationship to the material. The students are able to bring the story to life in their classroom using their own ideas and impressions as the framework for creation and exploration.
Cost: A classroom fee for the digital recording.
Typically, the ticket cost is $12 per person for in-person student matinees. One comp is offered for every twenty tickets sold.
Student Matinee Reservations are handled by the Education Department, not the Portland Stage Box Office.
