Every winter season, Portland Stage produces a Holiday Show. In 2021, we are proud to present A Christmas Carol adapted from Charles Dickens.
We also offer optional classroom workshops with professional theater artists before and/or after the show. These workshops enhance student ownership and understanding of the language, story, and characters by using theater techniques to activate their voices, bodies, and imaginations in relationship to the material. The students are able to bring the story to life in their classroom using their own ideas and impressions as the framework for creation and exploration.
Cost: The ticket cost is $12 per person for in-person student matinees. One comp is offered for every twenty tickets sold.
We are requiring audiences to wear masks and will create a 6-foot distance between different school groups. We are also committed to follow all school safety guidelines and will be in conversation with you all about what we can do to create a safe and comfortable environment for students and teachers.
Student Matinee Reservations are handled by the Education Department, not the Portland Stage Box Office.
