Novelist, Memoirist, & Playwright. Monica Wood’s novel, The One-in-a-Million Boy, has been published in 22 languages in 30 countries and won a 2017 Nautilus Award (Gold) and the New England Society Book Award. She is also the author of When We Were the Kennedys, a New England bestseller, Oprah magazine summer-reading pick, and winner of the May Sarton Memoir Award and the 2016 Maine Literary Award. Her nonfiction has appeared in Oprah, New York Times, Martha Stewart Living, Parade, and other publications. She has debuted two plays at Portland Stage, Papermaker, and The Half-Light.

Actor & Playwright. John Cariani has appeared on Broadway and Off Broadway, at regional theaters across the country, and in several films and television shows. He’s been nominated for a Tony Award and has done movies with Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken, and Ed Asner. Most people seem to know him from “Law & Order,” where his character, Forensics Tech Beck, is alive and well in reruns. As a playwright, John is best known for his first play, Almost, Maine, which premiered at Portland (Maine) Stage Company in 2004 and opened Off-Broadway in 2006.
