Portland Stage hosts three discussions – Artistic Perspective, Curtain Call, and Page to Stage – that are associated with each of the six (6) productions in our Mainstage Season. If you are interested in attending, you are welcome to come to the discussion even if you have not attended the performance. Discussions are free and open to the general public. During the 2020-21 season, we have been hosting our discussion in an interactive live, online format. We are archiving them below.

Join us for a Book Club-style Page to Stage with the Portland Public Library. Check out your copy of the script and join us two weeks before previews of each Mainstage Production. Scripts are available at the reference desk at the Main Branch of the Portland Public Library, or by contacting Raminta Moore at [email protected]. This year discussions will be held over Zoom at 6:00 pm feel free to come and chat about the plays with Literary Manager, Todd Brian Backus; his Directing and Dramaturgy Apprentices, and special guests.

Artistic Perspective Discussion hosted by Artistic Director Anita Stewart, is an opportunity for audience members to delve deeper into the themes and creative questions behind each production through conversation with special guests. A different scholar, visiting artist, playwright, or other experts will join the discussion each time.
