Script Submissions 
General information on who is eligible to submit scripts or 10-page script samples to Portland Stage and when they are accepted.

The Clauder Competition
Playwriting competition open to New England-based writers, held every three years at Portland Stage.

Little Festival of the Unexpected
Portland Stage's annual new play development festival, a week-long workshop open to writers from across the country.

Young Writers Project
An annual event open to high school students from Maine and New Hampshire to submit short plays or monologues for performance at Portland Stage.

Employment Opportunities
Postings of currently open full-time or part-time employment opportunities at Portland Stage.

Portland Stage's Intern Company, open to recent college graduates, gives 10-11 young professionals the opportunity to play an integral role in producing a Portland Stage season.

Portland Stage holds AEA and non-professional auditions locally in Portland and in Boston and New York for our Main Stage and Studio Series productions.

Professional Set, Costume, Lighting, and Sound designers are hired locally and from around the country.

Studio Rep Proposals
Southern Maine-based companies and theater artists can apply for a production slot in Portland Stage's Studio Rep - a collaborative 4-week repertory in the Portland Stage Studio Theater.
