  1. Will my tickets be mailed to me? How will I receive my tickets?
    1. Phone orders – tickets that are purchased more than 7 days prior to the date you are attending will be mailed to you, unless you need to present a coupon or ID for discounts.
    2. Internet orders – Internet tickets are mailed if purchased more than 10 days prior to the date attending.
       
  2. What does Will Call mean? 
    This means you will come in and pick up your tickets.

  6. Do you sell rush tickets? Are there any discounts available?
    1. Portland Stage does not offer Rush Tickets.

  7. What do I do if I’ve lost/misplaced my tickets? I want to give my friends my tickets but can’t get them to them before the show, what do I do?
    1. All tickets can be reprinted by either arriving at least 20 minutes before your scheduled performance time and giving us your name or
    2. You can call the Box Office and arrange for tickets to be reprinted for either you or your friends to pick up.
    3. Reprinted tickets will be held under the name in which they were purchased.
       
  8. Can I exchange my tickets for another performance?

  9. Does Portland Stage ever cancel a performance?

  10. Can I get a tax credit for my unused tickets? 
    Turn in your tickets prior to the date of their performance to receive a tax credit.
     
  11. Does my child need a ticket? 
    Everyone must have a ticket. No babes in arms.
     
  12. Is the show appropriate for my child? Do you do children’s theater?

  14. How long is the performance?
    1. Run times vary from production to production.
    2. Run times are usually not known until the Monday before the performances begin. You may visit the individual show pages (click on the titles to the right) to find the runtime information.

  16. Where is your Box Office located? 
    The Portland Stage Box Office is located on the street level of the theater building.
     
  17. What time should I arrive for a performance?
    We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before the start of the performance.

  20. Is there a dress code for Portland Stage? 
    Portland Stage does not have a dress code.
     
  21. Where can I park? Do you validate parking?

  22. Where can I get a coffee and desert before the show? Do you have food and drinks at Portland Stage? Do you serve alcoholic beverages?
    1. Portland Stage offers a variety of refreshments starting 45 minutes before the show and at intermission (if the show has an intermission).
    2. Refreshments offered are Portland Stage blend of Coffee provided by Coffee by Design, Cakes by Katie Made, Candies by Wilburs of Maine, a variety of beer, wine, tea and non-alcoholic cold beverages.
       
  23. How can I be contacted in case of an emergency?
    1. The Portland Stage number for you to be reached in an emergency is 207-774-1043 ext. 118.
    2. If you are expecting to be called while at the theater please leave your name and seat number with the House Manager.
       
  24. Can I bring my lap top into the theater? Can I take photos?

    Due to rehearsal, technical & performance schedules, the theater is not available for walk-in viewing.
