EXCHANGES

 

Individual Tickets - All individual ticket sales are final.
There are no exchanges and no refunds.

 

Season Tickets - Subscribers have the exclusive benefit of being able to exchange thier tickets to another performance of the same production.

In an ongoing effort to provide our subscribers with the best service possible, Portland Stage is adjusting the Subscriber Exchange Policy. The box office will now accept Subscriber Exchange Reservations over the phone and by email as well as in person. You must still return your original subscriber tickets to the box office, but you will have 48 hours to do so.

  • When changing your tickets to a later date we will need to receive your phone call or email at least  48 hrs before your original date.
  • When changing to a date sooner than you were originally scheduled, we will need to receive your phone call or email at least 48 hrs before the new date you want.

By phone:
Call the Box Office and a Box office associate will help you select the best seats available. You may     view seating availability by visiting the ticket purchasing section of our website, but you may not exchange on the website.  After viewing the availability, you must call the box office and inform the associate of your seating preference.

By email:
Send an email indicating your chosen date and seating preference. As above, you may view the seating chart for each event online and provide the box office with an idea of the area of the theater you might like, as well as any special seating needs you might have (ex: aisle seats for long legs, or first few rows for hearing, sight or mobility issues.) You may also leave the seating choice to the discretion of the box office if you do not have a preference. You will receive a confirmation email that your exchange reservation request has been received. 

Your seats will be reserved as soon as you call or email the box office.  This reservation will be held up to 48 hours, pending the arrival (in person or by mail) of your original subscriber tickets.  If your tickets are not received within 48 hours of the phone conversation or confirmation email, Portland Stage reserves the right to release your tickets for resale.  

All seating is subject to availability, and as always the box office will make it a priority to place you as close to your original seats as possible when choosing seats for you.

CANCELLATIONS

Portland Stage rarely cancels a performance.

What may cause a performance to be cancelled?
Portland Stage will cancel a performance for inclement weather if the City of Portland declares a snow emergency. Cancellations will be announced no later than three hours prior to the scheduled start time of the performance. Should inclement weather cause the cancellation of a performance, cancellation information will be available on the home page of this website, local television and radio stations, and via
PORTLAND STAGE at 207-774-0465.

What to do if a performance is cancelled?
If a performance is cancelled, ticket holders may exchange their tickets for a same-price ticket to any other performance.
To exchange into another performance or obtain information about additional options, call the Portland Stage Box Office at 207-774-0465.
 

 

PLEASE NOTE - All exchanges are based on ticket availability and a surcharge is added if exchanging into a higher priced performance.
