Once Upon A Time - Dark & Grimm Tales

Fascinated by the darker side of the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales?
Looking for an enchanting acting opportunity?
Look no further -

Dark and Grimm Tales will captivate, charm and transform
your middle school actor!


Based on the lesser know tales of the Brothers Grimm, middle school students will recreate unusual scenes and strange characters, sparking imaginations and building confidence along the way! Students will build learn how to build stage presence, develop acting skills, create characters, and understand classic texts with a group of like minded young actors.

Portland Stage Affiliate Artists Andrew Harris and Abigail Killeen will lead students in fun, challenging and enriching activities, through which students
learn to use their
bodies, voices, and imaginations to bring these
timeless tales to life.

Camp ends with an open studio for families to see what we've created!

The Wind in the Willows - SOLD OUT

 

 

February 18, 19 & 20  | 9 AM- 3 PM
Grades 2 - 5 | $150

Meet Ratty, Mole, Toad and Badger in this fun theatrical exploration of the children's classic adventure story The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. When Mole abandons spring-cleaning for the delights of the riverbank, he has no idea of the adventures that lie ahead...

Portland Stage Affiliate Artists Andrew Harris and Abigail Killeen will lead students in fun, challenging and enriching activities, through which students learn to use their bodies, voices,  and imaginations.

Camp participants will polish acting skills, use imaginations to create characters, play with accents, build confidence, understand classic texts in a whole new way,
plus take a workshop in scenic design.

Theme-based explorations help develop your child's ability to work as part of an ensemble, improve focus and concentration, and learn active listening skills while also reveling in spontaneity and creativity.

This 3 day mini-camp will cover the basics and then some, plus end with an open studio for families to see what we've learned.
