“Play Me a Story”
Saturday, September 14 - November 23rd
10:30 AM | Ages 4 - 10

“Play Me a Story” is an interactive reader’s theater workshop series for children between the ages of 4-10. To set the scene, our Affiliate Artists perform a staged reading of a popular children’s book. Following the performance, the audience is asked to participate in a workshop relating to the story. The workshop may focus on a particular character, place or situation that the story illuminates.

Workshops will engage and inspire through vocalization, games, improvisation and movement. Join our professional actors as we explore new and classic children’s stories while encouraging your child’s love of theater and literature.

What parents are saying...

Masks

“For my child, the experience exposed him in an intimate and compelling way to real stage acting. Both the readings and workshops were done at a very high level for the kids. Watching his confidence grow over only a few visits was the most gratifying part for me.”

“My daughter couldn't wait to go each weekend. The actors and staff were very friendly and made her feel comfortable right away. She would have the biggest, sunniest grin coming out of workshop.”

“The mix of fun, creative  activities in a friendly atmosphere was perfect for little kids.”

“Working with real actors on a real stage opened my daughter's eyes and mind.”
